Kyla loves school!

So we started Kyla's "school" today. I found this program called Letter of the Week online. I thought it was really neat and so we started today. Each week there is a different theme and she learns a new letter, number, color and shape. She is really excited about it and so am I!

Woohoo!

Kyla is potty trained! I am so excited! I thought it was never going to happen. She'll be 3 in May and I was really starting to worry that I would be changing a 3 year old's diaper soon. But she finally decided that she wanted to go in the potty. It did take some bribing and a little fibbing on my part. We are going to Disneyland in April and I told her that they don't allow diapers in Disneyland. I know, I'm horrible but I was getting desperate! She bought it and immediately decided she wanted to potty train.

Long over due update!

So, yeah it's been way too long since I've updated our blog. Since our last post a lot has happened. I'll just sum it all up for ya.

September 2009- We had a second beautiful little girl on September 28th. She was 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. She has been such a joy and a wonderful addition to our family. We were lucky to have both our families come up for a couple weeks and to be here for her blessing.

She's now 5 months old and is doing great! Kyla has been such a good big sister. She can't wait until Kenzie can actually play with her!

She is such a happy baby! We are doing great here in North Dakota. Trying not to freeze to death! Actually, I don't think it was as cold this winter as it was last winter. So I'm going to try to be much better at keeping up to date.

Getting anxious!

So we only have like 4 weeks left until our little Kenzie is here! We can't wait, we are getting really anxious! Had a doctor's appt. a couple days ago and he said that she has dropped a lot and is way down now. So hopefully not much longer! We're hoping she's a couple weeks early like Kyla. We shall see!

So sad, Summer is over!

If you can call it a summer! We only had like a week total of hot weather! The leaves on the trees are already changing and it's September, the summer went by way too fast. Kind of bitter sweet, although I love summer, this pregnancy has gone by way fast. So I'm kind of glad. Not all that excited about the negative temperatures coming around the corner. Oh well, just one more winter here and then hopefully on to somewhere at least a little warmer!
So we had a great time this summer though. Kyla loves being outside! We got her a little slide for out front. We took her to the splash park, which she loved, and she always has fun at the park.

We went to the fair and Chris was a great daddy, riding all the rides with Kyla.

Our cute little Fourth of July girl.

Chris' grandparents and little sisters were able to come visit us. We really enjoyed having them here.

Chris' grandparents and dad from Florida also came to stay with us for a few days but I'm still waiting on the pictures from that. Kyla has absolutely loved seeing everyone!

We also took a little family trip to the Mall of America in Minneapolis. We had fun but the trip started out a little harry. On the way there Kyla started getting sick and by the time we got there she had a fever and was not really a happy camper. She just wanted to sleep the whole time which wasn't all that bad. We just put her in her stroller and let her sleep while Chris and I checked things out. We stayed the night in Minneapolis and had planned on staying there for the whole next day but when we woke up, Kyla didn't seem any better. She was up all night with a cough, we got her fever down but she wasn't acting very well. So as we were packing up and walking out the door of our hotel room, she thew up all over the front of me! After that she started to run around like her usual self and was totally fine. I, on the other hand, had to take another shower and wear the same clothes that I'd worn the day before because I didn't have anything left. So we ended up staying and glad we did because Kyla had a great time.

This is Sharky, he's the mascot for the big aquarium at the mall and Kyla loved him! He wandered around the mall so everywhere we went Kyla would look for him. She would spot him everytime and go running after him! It was too cute!

So that was our summer wrap up! Hope you all had a great summer as well!

We are having another Girl!

So we are having another girl! We are very excited! Chris' says we definitely have to have another baby because he needs his boy. I said Good luck with that! Kyla is excited to be a big sister! Chris actually picked the name, we are naming her Kenzie Simone. He picked Kyla's name too, so I got pretty lucky. We've only got 10 weeks (or less) left! It's going by fast!

Such a slacker & Kyla's Birthday!

Okay, so I am such a slacker! So it's been like 3 months since I've posted anything. Well let's get caught up then. Starting with Kyla's 2nd birthday. Yes, it was back on May 6, once again I'm a slacker. Anyway, she had the best time! It was just us at home with a little BBQ but she loved her presents. She got a bunch of balloons sent to her from Chris' mom. That made her feel really special! We got her a lawnmower that blows bubbles and she got a little tricycle! She can't quite reach the pedals yet but she loves to push herself around. She also insisted on wearing this witch's hat that she got last Halloween! I can't believe she's already 2! The last 2 years have gone by so fast!
